Google Chrome is a web browser designed and released by Google, one of the largest search engines in existence.

When Google first got into the web browser game, they wanted to create something that would redefine how people view the internet, and they have essentially succeeded. Google Chrome allows users to access web applications, sites, and games, all at a fast pace and with no hassle. There are a number of other browsers out there, such as Firefox and Opera, but few have the same utility and simplicity of Google Chrome.

Chrome is one of the newer browsers on the market, but that hasn't stopped the software from reaching amazing heights in popularity thanks to its incredible power and stability. Flash and HTML5 are both supported, as are many more of the most advanced and commonplace technologies found on the web.

This application is not only completely free, but it has the ability to run web applications while simultaneously loading internet sites. There is even a web app for the browser called Chrome Remote Desktop which essentially turns the browser into a portal that peers inside a personal computer when the user isn't able to access the physical computer itself.

The main idea behind Chrome is that it isn't merely supposed to be a web browser, but it is more of an operating system that functions within another system. Chrome is able to run just about any application, and the point of the software is to compile everything into a single window.

One feature that many people like is Incognito Mode, which basically allows web browsing without any trace of what was viewed on the local machine. It won't save cookies, images, or any other files that might link the user to the web activity.

Chrome also has the ability to be customized with themes and extensions, and there are nearly too many of those on the web to count. Users even have the option of building their own themes and extensions.

There are few web browsers that are as easy to use as Google Chrome. It has a single bar at the top of the window referred to as the Omnibox, and it easily lets users search Google directly or enter a dedicated web address. It even helps with autofilling previously searched items.

The quick start page is another feature that showcases the utility of the browser. Using the quick start page, users can access their recently close tabs, their most used web apps, and their most frequently visited sites. The options panel for the software quickly allows users to change settings.

With all that Google Chrome can do for the user, it is no surprise the app is one of the most popular web browsers available today.
